Do celebrity deaths now come in fours? First we have Ed McMahon (probably the most important death this week) die on Tuesday. He is a retired Marine Corps Colonel and when we had lunch about a year ago it was a real highlight and he showed how much he really cared about our troops. Then came Farah Fawcett and Michael Jackson on Thursday and then the guy who could sell anything, Billy Mays, on Sunday. What a week. The strange thing about Mays is that he hit his head on the ceiling of his plane after a bumpy landing the day before. A lot of Oxy Clean is going to go unsold and could a bump on the head have killed him? Trouble in Latin America after the Honduran Supreme Court says a constitutional change was illegal and the military sends the president of that Hugo Chavez loving wanna-be dictator packing off to Costa Rica. Then there is the rest of the news and all of your calls. Good show.

As I predicted, the Director of Security for the San Diego Airport, Mr. Mike Aguilar was a NO SHOW. His spokesperson, a guy named Nico who is so insecure that he puts MPA after his name (as if that matters), said nobody in all of the TSA was available to talk about the security problems at San Diego Airport and the issues that I pointed out. Amazing huh? We'll keep trying, but until then I'll keep talking about the problems. Father's Day so a light show agenda-wise. People off celebrating Dad's Day (did any fathers actually get anything they wanted as gifts, I wonder)... Iranians have taken to the streets for freedom, but President Obama remains quiet. WHY? The signs are in ENGLISH for a reason (sad when there are more signs in English at a rally in Iran than in Los Angeles) - they want our help. Obama's angered gays again - yet they somewhat support him, but he is losing support with gay voters to the point where gays are boycotting a DNC fundraiser. Some interesting calls too. |

Israel's Prime Minister says that the Palestinians can have a state, with some conditions: they have to recognize a recognized country's right to exist, they must give up terror, they must be de-militarized and they will not control their airspace in the heart of Israel. Most importantly, Jerusalem will forever be the capital of the Jewish state. Of course, the Palestinians say no. There are demonstrations in the streets in Iran as the Supreme Leader (sounds like a cult) declares that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is the winner. So much for Iran making concessions to the West since Obama wants to talk to him. And: a call that every right thinking person should hear. A man calls and tells me that the Jews are the problem in the world and that I ought to move back to Israel. Given what I heard - and the fact that I have a duty to my homeland - do I move there by making aliyah? Perhaps I should. I'd be under a lot less stress.

D-Day annivesary remembered at Normandy. After the adventure to the Normandy coast the Obama's had date night in Paris. That was fine, but how do you feel about spending an additional $500,000 of tax money (your money) to allow Michelle Obama and her children to spend ONE day extra in Paris? Seems like the only people making "sacrifices" in this economy are the people living and working to allow the Obama's to live like they never lived before. They are like the Clintons before them. Barack Obama spent about $1 million trying to protect his birth certificate from being released. Why? Who does that? And, why have they not simply released this public document? Could you hide your birth certificate? Nope. And, Lebanon elections beat out pro-Western elections; the European Union elections were held as well and the EU is moving to the RIGHT as the United States is moving to the LEFT. What a world. |

President Obama issues a statement about the murder of an abortion doctor. The strange thing is that there has yet to be a single statement about an American serviceman killed or wounded in Iraq. Just the typical political "we respect their sacrifice." Odd. Meanwhile, police have someone in custody and tempers flare on the radio as I open with the fact that I have a hard time feeling sorry for someone who killed at least 60,000 children in the womb being murdered. Women's groups and pro-abortion (anti-choice) folks are calling the death of an abortionist terrorism, but we can't use the word terrorist to actually describe terrorists anymore and we're using it to describe a murder. Don't get me wrong - I'm not happy a man lost his life and I would have been much happier if he just lost his ability to do late term abortions to live children (after all - Scott Peterson is on death row for doing what this abortion doctor did every day of his life). Guess it is all about when life begins, but how about when the child suffers when its head is poked and it is torn limb from limb out of his mother? That barbarism is surely torture, but nobody cared - at least not the people who support abortion without exception. And then there is other news: gays had a drag/gay pride night at the American Embassy in Iraq, but American TROOPS have been court martialed for having alcohol because of the sensitivities of the host nation. I didn't know that Islamic countries were okay with gay parades and not okay with booze (meanwhile, there is a story out there about the number of bars and clubs opening that serve liquor to the Iraqi people). Talk about hypocrisy.

May 24, 2009-
As we remember the sacrifice of the Americans who give us the liberty to be free on the eve before Memorial Day we can do little more than think about the awe-inspiring lessons learned by men and women who gave their lives for not only our freedom, but for the freedom of others. Whether it was freedom from tyranny in Iraq and Afghanistan or in either of the World Wars - Americans are want to be and give freedom to the world. The CA Supreme Court is set to give a ruling on Tuesday over whether or not Proposition 8 (the ballot measure that incorporate Prop 22 into the CA Constitution to define marriage as a union between one man and one woman) - my prediction: split. Prop 8 is legal and binding, BUT to please the left the marriages created before the case are legal. They are meaningless and are little more than scraps of paper since domestic partnerships already give the same rights. But one never knows. Then there is the fact that as soon as he landed in Tel Aviv the Israeli Prime Minister "defied" Obama's rule that he stop building in Jerusalem. Huh? I thought meddling in foreign countries was not allowed? Guess not. Go Israel! If we can't control Obama maybe Israel can.

Countdown until the Special Election on May 19th. The questions are simple: do we continue to raise taxes so that the people in Sacramento can continue to spend money we do not have or do we put a leash on this spending spree? I say the latter and the polls say you do too. BUT THE ELECTION IS NOT A CERTAINTY AND YOU MUST GO OUT TO VOTE (IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY). Also, Israel's Prime Minister is in America to talk to President Obama. The burning question on the media's mind is should there be a two state solution? Yes, but ONLY if the Palestinians recognize Israel FIRST. A right to exist is critical, especially given the fact that more than 40% of Palestinians do not believe that the Shoah took place. AND then there is House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Which version of the five stories would you like to believe? What did she know and when did she know it? If she doesn't remember - waterboard her. |

Steve Yuhas, called a "rising star" in radio, hosts his unique take on current events and politics during The Steve Yuhas Show - dubbed Uniquely Conservative Talk Radio™. Heard live from San Diego to Santa Barbara; Mexico to Arizona and all over the world on AM 600 KOGO - San Diego's News & Talk Station.
From one entertainment reporter, "At first listen, Steve Yuhas sounds like just about any other right-wing talk-show host on the dial... His guests include the usual array of newsmakers and gadflies, and his running commentary is sprinkled with nasty zingers about liberals and Democrats. He buddies around with like-minded colleagues. And his arch-conservative opinions are reliably predictable." It is not exactly that simple for this Jewish disabled former military man who happens also to be gay.
Honorably discharged from the Marine Corps and Army, Yuhas served from Texas to Germany; California to the Middle East. He believes that service to his country made him able to overcome the adversity that came after he sustained a spinal cord injury. Now a Lifetime Member of the Disabled American Veterans as well as a member of Paralyzed Veterans of America - he works hard for military folks and veterans alike.
In a time when being a veteran is uncommon in public office, not to mention on radio and television, Yuhas brings a unique perspective to the field. Guests have included everyone from the high ranking military men in our and other countries, secretaries of government agencies, local and national politicians and international leaders including former Prime Ministers and ambassadors from the world over. Callers & Yuhas' unique biography make the Steve Yuhas Show unlike any other radio show.

GUILTY: Liberal "Victims" and Their Assault on America
Ann Coulter calls out liberals for always playing the victim – when in fact, as she sees it, they are the victimizers. In GUILTY, Coulter explodes this myth to reveal that when it comes to bullying, no one outdoes the Left. GUILTY is a mordantly witty and shockingly specific catalog of offenses which Coulter presents from A to Z. And as with each of her past books, all of which were NYT bestsellers, Coulter is fearless in her penchant for saying what needs saying about politics and culture today.

The Case Against Barack Obama
He was "delivered to us," proclaimed Chris Matthews. He will transform America, healing our historical racial wounds. President Barack Obama will infuse us all with new hope. Many among the media and his followers have elevated him to nearly divine status. Barack Obama has escaped realistic appraisal and serious-minded critique more than any man (or woman) who has ever been elected to our nation's highest office.

The Reagan I Knew
It is fitting, perhaps, that when William F. Buckley Jr. was struck down at his desk in February 2008 he was putting the finishing touches on this memoir of Ronald Reagan. No two men were more important to the rise and triumph of conservatism in America than Buckley and Reagan; and though each was a titan in his own right, neither could have stood as tall without the other. Each, too, had a great capacity for humor, conversation, and most of all lasting and loyal friendship. The Reagan I Knew, then, is much more than a memoir, more than a political biography -- it is a highly personal, often hilarious, and finally deeply moving chronicle of the friendship between the two great figures of the modern American Right.

The Truth About Hillary
Everyone knows that Bill Clinton wanted to be President of the United States ever since he was a boy. What almost no one knows is that his wife Hillary harbored the same ambition since she was a girl -- and that her plan from the very start of their marriage was to succeed him in the Oval Office.

A Slobbering Love Affair: The True (And Pathetic) Story of the Torrid Romance Between Barack Obama and the Mainstream Media
"Never in my memory," says veteran journalist Bernard Goldberg, "were so many journalists so intent on effecting change as they were during the campaign of 2008." Sure, mainstream journalists always root for the Democrat -- Richard Nixon complained of media bias as long ago as his presidential campaign against John F. Kennedy in 1960. But in 2008 it went beyond that. In A Slobbering Love Affair: The True (and Pathetic) Story of the Torrid Romance Between Barack Obama and the Mainstream Media, Goldberg shows that this time journalists were not satisfied merely being partisan witnesses to history.

On My Honor: Why the American Values of the Boy Scouts Are Worth Fighting for
Texas governor Rick Perry, through the legacy of the Boy Scouts of America, takes dead aim at the moral relativism of the secular humanist movement, indicting its corrosive impact on the culture. Examining the left's legal assaults on the Boy Scouts of America - which span more than 30 years - Perry offers prescient insight into the multi-faceted war, which pits the proponents of traditional American values against the radical leftist movement that seeks to tear down our social foundations.

GAY PRIDE is coming to town and we have a great debate. Is gay pride helpful or harmful to the gay cause? Does it just reinforce stereotypes that many gays demand that straight people get rid of? Most of my material comes from convesations with friends so my friend will co-host with me and he supports gay pride. Should be a wild ride. Eyal Feldman is the co-host on a special Steve Yuhas Show SOON

TSA'S MICHAEL AGUILAR
WEEK 2 of being a NO SHOW
Michael Aguilar is the (highly paid with OUR tax dollars) security director at San Diego airport - top TSA dog and former Marine Brigadier General. He once said, "We have to keep one step ahead of those who would do us harm." I couldn't agree more, BUT do policies at San Diego's airport make you safe?
Marches continue in Iran against and for the re-election of Iran's anti-West and anti-Semitic leader.

AND - the most transparent administration in history? Not really. Obama White House blocking what EVERY President has given before - the list of visitors to the People's House
Obama's birth certificate remains an issue as it is reported on Sunday that the president spent more than $1 million to NOT show his birth certificate. The first document is a Hawaiian birth certificate used during the year that Obama was born; the second document is what the Obama campaign provided. Not exactly the same is it?

Netanyahu Rightfully Says No to Obama
By: Steve Yuhas
It didn’t take an expert in the art of body language to know that the meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and President Barack Obama did not go well. The two men were seated in front of a fireplace in the White House and for the first time since Obama went on the public stage what I saw was a deflated shell of a man. A man not used to being told no or for things not to go his way

What's next? Well, blame the loss of American Idol on homophobia. Would be funny if it was not what people are doing right now. There is a lot of bitterness and disappointment today about Adam Lambert losing American Idol. He is trending higher than Kris Allen on Twitter, which is the de facto pulse of the Internet. Most tweets go something like, "Adam was robbed" or "the voting was rigged" or "do u want to make money online?". Well, that last one was spam, but it seems a majority of people felt Kris' win was unjust and are still seething.

The Young and the Restless is down one character when an actor didn't want his character to be gay. What an odd, yet entertaining, story. Chris Engen left the daily soap, The Young and the Restless, because he was supposed to kiss another man. He refused to play a gay character and preferred to quit, according to PerezHilton.com. Michael Muhney, best known as Sheriff Lamb on Veronica Mars, will step in as Adam Wilson on the long-running daily soap. Some in the gay world are calling his actions, what else, homophobic. But, shouldn't a person be permitted, without fear of retribution by a gay lobby out of control, NOT to kiss someone they don't want to kiss? This is like a minor Miss CA story - only a guy.

And here we go again. Every single time anything is counted we have to count every single little group to be sure we've got them all. This time it is a Constitutional issue. Forty-eight members of Congress have asked Office of Budget and Management director Peter Orszag to count same-sex couples as “married” in the 2010 Census, rather than as “unmarried partners.”The last time a census was held in 2000, there were no states in which same-sex marriage was legal. However since then, six states,Massachusetts, Connecticut, Iowa, Vermont, Maine and New Hampshire, have passed same-sex laws that will be in effect by the time of next year’s census. In addition, about 18,000 gay marriages were performed in California before voters there voted to ban them.
